Because the streets are so narrow, there is no room at the dog leg for enough of a
strip of greenery between building and sidewalk, or sidewalk and street, for a tree to
sneak into, which is why the light was inevitable. But the streets, in their narrowness,
leave the buildings mostly in shade while the intersection itself becomes a spot of bright
light, spoiling the exposure. If we want to just shoot this and be done, we need a time
when the lighting will be more even, and indeed this does look nicer in the morning light.
For now, we soon return to the shade, and leave our minor worries behind.

Another block passes, as we notice that we're starting to run low on film, and start to
conserve it. Deciding not to snap one of the south end of the park, along North Avenue,
because the flowers haven't had a chance to completely come in yet, we
turn left onto North Avenue.
