We're only approaching late afternoon, we're not there yet, but a number of the bars are already open, and a few patrons have already shown up, getting a head start on the evening's buzz. We'd just as soon pass on witnessing that, so after glancing down a side street

we notice that we're about to reach Astor Street, and we decide to turn right onto it, after taking one last look back down Division toward the Lake. Not a hard decision, as trying to turn left on Astor would leave us smacking face first into somebody's front door. Ouch.

We glance around the corner and look down the more narrower and more upscale street to our right. It looks shady and inviting and very forgiving of risk averse amateur photographers who use 800 film on sunny days. We cross the street and head north, more or less.
